Ideas for Teachers Day Celebration
Teachers are the core element in the system of education. They spread knowledge and wisdom, and provide the students with vital information, that molds them to become ready for the future.
Our teacher too have lots of daily routine problems just like us and our parents but they always keep their teaching profession at top and attend schools or colleges to complete their job responsibilities. Nobody say them thanks for their priceless job. So, we as students have some responsibility towards our teachers at least we can say them thanks once a year. 5th September is the day to show our love, affection and gratitude towards our teachers.
Why we celebrate Teachers' Day on 5th September?
In India, 5th September is celebrated as Teachers' Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society.
5th September is the birth anniversary of a great teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, the President of India and above all, a teacher.
When some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, he said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege, if 5th September is observed as Teachers' day".
From then onward, the 5th of September has been observed as Teachers Day, in India.
